The Rules
1) Language should be clean, PG-13ish. Occasional cussing is ok, however @#$% will probably get your point across just as well. There is a profanity filter, I don't want to use it because I don't like those things. However, if things get out of hand I will.
1b) All of 1 applies to your chosen board name.
2) Keeping sig pics to a minimum is definitely good. Also pictures should be PG-13 at the worst. If you are using custom sigs I have seen some neat things with the html code allowed (scrolling marquis, drop down menus etc.) that don't require huge downloads.
3) If you have a picture you want everyone to see, that's what the attachment function is for. HOWEVER - if it's not suitable for work, use the [url] tag and link to it with a NSFW warning.
4) Verbal Flaming is considered 'fine' if it is critisizing someone else's play or observed behavior, and doesn't violate rule 1. However references to another person's family and private life are not allowed. Examples : "Soandso's mother ....." or "Soandso does <something> with <something or someone>...". Also be careful not to take things too far. The board moderators are the ones who get to decide what is 'too far' so be careful.
5) No spamming or sending unwanted mail to any mail addresses (email or otherwise) found on this board.
6) If you have a problem, think any of the rules were unduely violated or are pissed and need to tell someone about it, email me. DO NOT POST PERSONAL PROBLEMS OR RULE VIOLATIONS ON THE BOARD. Posting such things on the board only causes more problems, and reduces the chance a good solution can be found.
And now the important part : "Ah so what? What are you gonna do to me?"
1) Most cases we will just warn you and talk to you about it. If necessary we will delete the contents of the inapropriate post. We may delete only the innapropriate part of the post or the entire thing. If we decide it's necessary we will delete an entire thread.
2) If you continue to be a problem we will ban your username from posting.
3) If you come back with a different username after being banned your IP will be banned
4) If you come back with a different IP after having your IP baned your IP range will be banned, hope no one else here is on the same ISP or they might hunt you down.
5) If you are caught spamming your IP will be banned and your ISP contacted.
Recourse: "But I wasn't wrong!" or "I didn't do it!"
For the wrongly accused you must convince me that you do not deserve the action taken against you. Do this through e-mail (same reasons as rule 6).
7) Remember this is not a democracy - it's a benevolent dictatorship.
